Medical & Ministry Update

Dear Fellow-Sojourners,

Oh, that we would praise the Lord and give Him thanks, for His goodness to the children of men!

A new year with a new beginning … a new page … a new chapter … open doors … sustained vision … all for the glory of God!

What a momentous year this has been! The goodness of the Lord has been so evident in our lives—not only with healing but also with His abiding presence, promises, provision, protection, and power. We are eternally grateful to Him with joy! His grace has been sufficient!

Medical Update

The doctor, a few weeks ago, said my MRI was “perfect” and there was “no evidence of any disease”, my blood was “almost normal”, and my platelets were as high as his were. He is “optimistic” (a strictly medical term) that the “cancer won’t come back for a long time … possibly forever”!

Oh, what a wonderful God we serve, not only for the physical blessings, but because He has shown Himself compassionate and faithful in making “good” come out of our trials! He does everything right and just!

Ministry Update

I leave on January 17 for Sofia, Bulgaria and return on February 1. We will teach/train in a Pastor’s School—in the middle of the winter. (Most of the pastors are farmers, and during the winter, which is quite severe, any tilling of the ground is almost impossible.) We will have an opportunity to influence a nation through its leaders. We will also be speaking in several churches. We covet your prayers. This is our first overseas ministry trip since our trip in Pakistan and our unexpected journey of faith.

Tentative plans are to go to the Azores Islands, Portugal, and the land of my birth. We hope to be part of the planting of the first evangelical church in one of the islands, St. Jorge, the island of my father’s birth. Prospective plans are to teach a short-term course at the Continental Theological Seminary in Belgium and also to train pastors in Greece.

We do not want to be presumptuous, but we want to hear what the Lord is saying to us. For me, there is no thrill in traveling. However, imparting Truth in the power of the Spirit to train national leaders and pouring out my life to them is exhilarating!

Thank you for your love, support, and mostly for your prayers. You are loved and in our prayers also.

Loving and serving Christ with joy,
